Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) wishes to issue a formal retraction regarding a statement made in our May 2022 Business Unit Update. We previously stated that the Make the Label Count Coalition commissioned a two-part white paper titled "The Great Greenwashing Report Part 2." This information was incorrect.
Neither AWI nor Make the Label Count Coalition funded or commissioned this report. The use of language in our previous communication was improper. The Make the Label Count Coalition did promote the report but was not involved in its creation or funding. We extend our sincere apologies to the Geneva Centre for Business and Human Rights and to all others affected by this error. We regret any confusion our initial statement may have caused and are committed to ensuring clarity and accuracy in all our future communications.
